Amrit Science Campus is the oldest pure science college in Nepal established in 1962. It was originally called a public science campus (PUSCOL ). It was later named after the late Amrit Prasad Pradhan who is the founder of the college. Dr. Pushpa Lal Humagain is the Chief of this campus. The establishment of this college is done by him to promote science and technology in Nepal. With the vision to develop highly skilled human resources in the field of technology and to improve the education system of Nepal, this college is established. To upgrade the education system in the infrastructure and classroom new implementation of the program is done. ASCOL is a government college under the faculty of science and technology affiliated to Tribhuvan University. This campus is located at the heart of Kathmandu valley, Lainchour, Kathmandu.
